Flash Mob Musical – Connect the Community

About the Programme

Selected young people will be trained to perform an inspirational ‘flash mob musical’ around Southern District in Hong Kong. They will not only receive the training of classical musical technique but also experience the latest type of performance, flash mob. Under the theme of “connect the community”, the musical will tell stories from the community and staged on streets and estates. Online videos of the performances will be filmed by action cameras and camera drone. The videos will be easily watched and shared through social media that help the messages to spread.

The programme is organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Jockey Club Media 21 (M21) and sponsored by The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). We aim to nurture young talents on art and creativity and encourage supportive attitude among the community through this flash mob musical. The programme will run for 10 months from November 2015 to September 2016. We welcome young people who aged 12 to 35 and interested in acting, singing, dancing, video production to join us.
