Recognition for HKFYG young volunteers in Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award Scheme
Ms Lau Ka-mei, Ms Wong Sam-yi, Mr Mak Kong-chuen, Mr Yeung Yat-ming, Ms Ip Yuen-ting, Ms Lau Shan-shan, Mr Man Ho-fai and Mr Lee Sing-hang, young volunteers nominated by HKFYG units and "Heart to Heart Schools," had been selected as this year's Outstanding Youth Volunteers in recognition of their active participation in voluntary work and contribution to the community. Soft opening of the new start-up hot spot - Qianhai E Hub
The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E Hub) had its soft opening early this month. Just across the border in the Pearl River Delta, E Hub enables global young entrepreneurs to achieve their entrepreneurial aspiration and scale up their start-up businesses through comprehensive facilities, funding opportunities and one-stop entrepreneurial business support. E Hub is initiated by the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, the Shenzhen Youth Federation and the HKFYG. Officiating guests included Mr Hu Chun-hua, the Communist Party Secretary of Guangdong province and the Hon. CY Leung, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR. After School Club at YADC: NET teacher gives fun classes
Children have fun learning in English at the After School Club. It is effective without adding extra pressure. There are tasks suitable for 3-12 year-olds given by a Native English Teacher. They range from small science projects to fun class debates. Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. 12 January -28 March, 5-6pm, at the HKFYG Youth Assessment & Development Centre, 23/F Congregation House, 119 Leighton Rd, Causeway Bay. HKFYG Hong Kong Melody Makers 10th Anniversary concert 24 January 2015

How Schools Dance with New Media: a seminar for teachers, youth workers and parents
The School Youth Work of HKFYG organized a seminar on 18 December for teachers, youth workers and parents to explore how schools could use new media to facilitate effective communication with students. Besides, the challenges brought by new media and how teachers and parents could help students make good use of the new media were also discussed. An exhibition on School Youth Work was held to provide more service information for over 350 participants from more than 170 primary and secondary schools, as well as NGOs. The Hong Kong Young Ambassadors "2014 Sing Sing Starry Night"
The Hong Kong Young Ambassadors (HKYA) held a "2014 Sing Sing Starry Night" on the Christmas Day at the Avenue of Stars to show hospitality to tourists with spectacular entertainments while introducing latest tourist information. Highlights included photo-shoots with Christmas characters, Christmas carols and greeting local residents with "Merry Christmas!" in different languages. All these will be recapped in an online video to promote the hospitality of Hong Kong to the world. Youth - don't gamble! HKFYG Youth Crime Prevention Centre programme supported by Ping Wo Fund
For some at-risk youth, gambling is a social activity so with Ping Wo Fund sponsorship, HKFYG's Youth Crime Prevention Centre uses Facebook, its Youthlaw apps and interactive film to give them guidance. Outreach social workers in Sai Kung and Tseung Kwan O target about 10,700 young night drifters on this educational anti-youth gambling programme which runs from mid-January 2015 till mid-January 2016. SPOT Sound New Year Countdown Concert on tonight
From 5pm today till half past midnight tomorrow, the SPOT Sound New Year Countdown Concert at Fly the Flyover 01, Kwun Tong, is bringing young people together to celebrate. 21 youth bands are performing, including two popular guest bands, Rain in Time (及時雨) and Pendular, for an expected audience of 400+. The concert is organized by HKFYG's Youth SPOTs and is sponsored by Li Ka Shing Foundation (The March of Social Engineers) and a recording of the show can be found at https://www.facebook.com/SpotSoundcamp.

"Love to Share" Inclusive Art Project launch with HSBC Community Partnership Programme
With the kind sponsorship from HSBC Community Partnership Programme, the "Love to Share" Inclusive Art Project will have its grand opening performance on 4 Jan 2015 at the Piazza of Hong Kong Cultural Centre. HKFYG's Hong Kong Youth Dance and "Love to Share" youth volunteers will dance with Dancing Heart Troupe which is formed by mentally handicapped dancers. Together they will showcase the potential of different people on dancing so as to promote the message of social inclusion.
