Encouraging volunteerism
across the generations

The Youth Service America‧Global Youth Action Network has once again designated the period between the 25th and the 27th of April this year as "Global Youth Service Day". And once again the Federation has been appointed as the Lead Agency in the HKSAR to coordinate and organise 10,000 young volunteers to participate in various community service projects.

Volunteerism is something that we very much encourage. But volunteering is not just something for young people; it is a commitment and service that anyone can perform, no matter what your age or profession. The Federation encourages everyone, especially professionals and those who have retired to volunteer. If you fit into either one of these categories, you could think about helping young people with your experiences and wisdom by tutoring or mentoring. As a corporate volunteer, you might also think about passing on your expertise and helping young people to create networks and information channels.

Volunteering is for everyone. So, if you have skills and experience to share, and if you have a commitment to the community, do think about becoming a volunteer. You'll feel better for it! Call Anna at the Youth Volunteer Network now to find out more about joining VNET at 2169 0032. We need you. The community needs you.
